I was born 1987 in Slemania, Iraq. Life was hard for my family and in 1996 we fled to Sweden to start over and build a better life for ourselves.

In 2004 I started High School, where I studied Graphic Design. Why I chose photography instead of art was because the camera felt more comfortable in my hands than pens and brushes, a decision I’m very happy with. This was also the year I had enough money to buy my first camera and in 2006 I started working as a photographer, firstly at parties so that I could get myself a proper studio and later at bigger events as concerts etc.

After graduating in 2007 I started Fotoskolan (Photography School), where I developed my skills as a photographer, I also started my own firm; Tuana Photography.

In 2008 I had achieved one of my dreams; I now had a studio of my own, making my work so much easier.

In the autumn of 2008 I decided to start studying to become a teacher of photography and graphics and in 2010 I got my first job as a teacher. I now work full time as a teacher and part-time as a photographer, but photography is my biggest passion.
